Planting a Tree is an Act of Hope
|
The first ceremonial Tree for Hope was planted on the 22nd of February 2015 in the Park in Findhorn Foundation ground in northern Scotland. This native sessile oak tree (Quercus petraea) marks the intention of Trees for Hope to put roots down in the ground, to grow with the earth community, to give and receive, to connect communities across the Fertile Crescent to grow trees and restore our damaged lands.
With gratitude to Findhorn Community, Trees for Life nursery providing the oak sapling, Friends who joined in the Ceremony. Planting Dedicated Trees for a Friend or a CauseWe are able to plant a grove of trees to keep the memory of a friend alive, or to celebrate a cause you care about. Planting dedicated groves of trees serve to ground what you care about while giving back to mother Gaia. It helps fund Trees for Hope into the future as well. So it is a win/win/win action.

Growing Olive Trees in PalestineWe are asking for emergency funds to plant and raise olive trees in the next 2-3 years in Palestine. These trees will be grown to support the lives of communities in Palestine as well as the wilderness in the country. We are partnering with olive growers in the West Bank to increase the number of olive trees grown from seed.
We are most grateful for your financial and spiritual support. Help us Translate the book 'Language of Water' for Farsi readersHelp us translate the book 'Language of Water' to Farsi language for readers in Iran and Afghanistan. We experienced one of the harshest droughts in living memory in Iran in 2025. Our intention with this campaign is to catalyze our collective memory and imagination to remember and to speak the Language of Water in its fluid and respectful ways again.
The Language of Water is the title of a book written by two of Trees for Hope's trustees, Minni Jain and Philip Franses. The book is about 'Ancient Techniques and Community Stories for a Water Secure Future.' By making this book available for readers in Iran and Afghanistan, you will empower our citizens to remember and to take pragmatic steps towards water restoration in our thirsty land. Thank you for your care and support for our campaign. Helping our Friends to Regenerate their lands
