The first ceremonial Tree for Hope was planted on the 22nd of February 2015 in the Park in Findhorn Foundation ground in northern Scotland. This native sessile oak tree (Quercus petraea) marks the intention of Trees for Hope to put roots down in the ground, to grow with the earth community, to give and receive, to connect communities across the Middle East to grow trees, to act for our love for the land.
With gratitude to Findhorn Community, Trees for Life nursery providing the oak sapling, Friends who joined in the Ceremony.
Planting more Trees for Hope
Wherever you are, you can plant a Tree for Hope. When you plant with intention and in the company of two or more friends you will be planting a tree for hope. Examine your intention, what gives you hope? How do you give hope to others? Each tree-planting is unique as are each people.
When you plant a Tree for Hope with your community of Friends, please tell us about it. We are here to grow our network of communities planting Trees for Hope all over.
