Rewilding

Trees for Hope aspires to :

  • Promote and support the ecological restoration of degraded ecosystems and deforested land in countries of the Fertile Crescent, Hyrcanian Forest, and Anatolia.

  • Provide education, training, support and funding for communities and local partner organisations in the Fertile Crescent and Hyrcanian Forest regions, thereby increasing the capacity of the local residents to become active in returning the degraded landscapes and watercourses to a condition of sound ecological health.

  • Link up communities and local partner organisations in the Fertile Crescent and Hyrcanian Forest regions with similar projects and organisations elsewhere, to enable a transfer of knowledge, experience, skills that will increase the capacity of the recipients to care for and improve their local environment.

  • Connect communities and grant-making bodies to plant trees to meet both the community’s and wildlife’s need simultaneously.

  • Empower people with ecological knowledge and their deep connection to the land to engage in restorative actions for their communities and regions.
