what makes the difference between nothing and everything
Having enough funds, as you know, makes the crucial difference between nothing and everything to a project.
The present phase of the project is called Explorations. It involves travelling to Turkey, Iran, Lebanon, Jordan, and the Holy Land in the spring this year to meet with local people and colleagues to prepare for the gathering next year and tree-planting in the region.
To achieve this I need funds to cover the costs of travel, visas, accommodation and setting up basic infrastructure for the gathering. I also need funds to develop the project and its essential resources, including a new laptop, an expanded website and printed literature. My estimate for the funds required for the Explorations Phase is £7,700, and I need to raise this within March 2015. I will be very grateful for any donations.
You too can make a difference by supporting this project.
Trees for Hope wishes to thank the following organisations, groups, and individuals for their financial support to allow Trees for Hope engage in Exploration phase of the project.
A few words about Art Sponsors In November 2014, when I began fundraising for the Exploration Phase for Trees for Hope, I had the idea to make a 100 glass angels to raise the funds needed. I put the word out in the first circle of my friends and delightfully received 10 commissions. When I started to make the angels, I realised that I won't manage to make a 100 glass angels the way I like to work, given the restriction of time. I want to make something reflecting a quality my friends ask for. I spend 2-3 days making each work of art. Working this way I need about a year to make a 100 angels, which would have been a delightful year, but I would not get to organise the Earth Healing Gathering next year.
I am grateful for the commissions from my friends. I cherish each creation and while making each glass angel I felt the quality blessing my path too.
